What are the daily maintenance points for energy-saving glass roller coating machines?

Energy-saving glass roller coating machines are used for flat tempered glass and architectural energy-saving glass, applying nano thermal insulation coatings, UV inks, and colored enamel coatings. Compared with spraying, this method offers higher coating circulation recovery rates and lower energy consumption. It is used for energy-saving coated glass, color-patterned glass, and furniture glass, and can be integrated with washing machines and leveling/drying lines to form a complete production line.

Below are the key daily maintenance points for energy-saving glass roller coating machines:

  1. Glass must be cleaned thoroughly – Glass with oil stains or dust will result in finished products with extensive pinholes and surface bumps. The washing machine is a critical pre-treatment step.

  1. Coating material control – Maintain stable temperature and viscosity for thermal insulation coatings. Regularly filter the circulating coating material. Avoid arbitrarily mixing old and new coatings. Prevent coating sedimentation.

  1. Roller gap adjustment – Do not press the rollers too tightly. Fine‑tune the gap according to film thickness requirements. Inspect the roller surface for dried coating particles at the start of each shift.

  1. Clean rollers, trough, and piping after each shift – Use the appropriate thinner/solvent for cleaning. Dried and hardened coatings are difficult to remove and may scratch rubber rollers.

  1. Drive components – Regularly apply grease to bearings. Inspect timing belts and transmission gears to ensure synchronous rotation of multiple rollers.

  1. Rubber rollers are consumable parts – Avoid prolonged soaking in solvents. Replace them promptly if the surface becomes hardened, pitted, or cracked.

  1. Clean or replace the trough filter screen regularly – Prevent impurities from being carried onto the roller surface.

  1. For long‑term shutdown – Dismantle rubber rollers and store them properly to avoid deformation from compression. Drain and clean all piping and troughs thoroughly.
